Facility Registration

Under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA), passed by the U.S. Congress on December 29, 2022, the FDA requires facilities that manufacture or process each cosmetic product placed on the market in the United States to register. These facility registrations must be renewed every 2 years, and new facilities must be registered within 60 days of first becoming operational (or 60 days after the initial transition period ending December 29, 2023). Additionally, cosmetic facilities outside the United States must designate a U.S. Agent for FDA communications.
